some nerdy notes (:

The font is best used with a pixel size of a multiple of 8 (such as 8, 16, 24, 32 etc...) to avoid anti-aliasing.

For the ultimate correct retro display of this font you have to scale it vertically by 1.2 (that's the way those games were displayed back then). Of course you have to chose a bitmap size which supports at least rectangular “pixels” with a size of 5×6 pixels. The appropriate font size would be at least 40 pixels. With this font size, a “pixel” has a size of 5×5 pixels. The image then has to be scaled vertically by 1.2 which results in “pixels” with a size of 5×6 pixels. (Of course you can also use smaller font sizes, but anti-aliasing will occur.)

The 1991 version was also used in later versions of The Secret of Monkey Island.

If you want the italic ß as found in the enhanced CD version of The Secret of Monkey Island (german) please use the greek small beta.
